Our Story

The Wild Gem didn't begin with a business plan.

It began with a question.

How did people care for themselves before modern soaps and cosmetics?

That question led me down a path of experimenting with simple ingredients and botanical traditions. I washed my face with coconut milk. I infused herbs into oils. I learned from old practices. Some traditions held remarkable wisdom.

There were challenges. Some ingredients were difficult to preserve. Some formulas lacked consistency. Modern science offered genuine improvements.

That's when I realized the goal wasn't to choose between nature and science.

It was to bring the best of both together.

My background as a Doctor of Physical Therapy taught me to ask questions and look beyond assumptions. That same curiosity shaped The Wild Gem. I wasn't interested in following beauty trends or creating another version of products that already existed.

As I continued learning, my focus began to shift.

How do we stay connected to nature in the modern world?

I realized I wasn't just looking for better ingredients. I was looking for a better relationship with the products we use every day.

I was tired of disposable culture. Tired of shelves full of plastic bottles. I realized I also missed something less tangible, a feeling of connection to the natural world in the ordinary moments of everyday life.

The way things were once made— a balm from local plants, a brush from natural fibers, a soap that left nothing behind— reflected a different relationship with the earth.

A relationship built on stewardship rather than consumption.

That doesn't mean turning away from modern science. Quite the opposite.

Modern formulation allows us to create products that are safer, more stable and more effective than ever before. The challenge is using that knowledge with intention.

That's why our powder formulas leave the water out until you need it. Why we choose natural fibers whenever we can. Why we use compostable labels and minimal packaging. Every design choice is an opportunity to create less waste without sacrificing beauty or performance.

We believe the products that help us reconnect with nature shouldn't come at nature's expense.

What We Stand For

  • CONNECTION

Bringing the natural world into everyday life.

We believe we aren't separate from nature—modern life just makes it easy to forget. Every product is thoughtfully designed to create small moments of connection through the rituals we practice every day.

    Bring the Wild Home.

  • PURPOSE

    Everything earns its place.

Every ingredient, every formula, and every product begins with a purpose. We don't create products to follow trends or fill shelves—we create them to solve real problems with beautifully simple, effective design.

    Less, but genuinely better.

  • STEWARDSHIP

    Care that leaves less behind.

The products that reconnect us with nature shouldn't come at nature's expense. We thoughtfully consider our ingredients, materials, and packaging to reduce waste while creating products that are beautiful, effective, and made to last.
